Our Story
We didn’t plan to start an insurance agency. We stumbled into this industry the way many people do out of necessity and found that it fit. Rich Costante came to insurance after a career in education and coaching, leaving behind a school system salary to find something that could support his growing family. Together cowner Tracy and Rich after years of building their skills and their client base, they made the decision to launch something of their own: an agency named after the people who motivated them most. CDM Insurance stands for Chase, Dominic, and Madison – Rich’s three children and that story sits at the center of everything we do.
What Sets Us Apart
Florida’s insurance market is one of the most complex in the country, and most people coming to Marco Island whether they’re buying a primary home, a condo, or their fourth vacation property don’t fully understand how it works. They don’t know the difference between hurricane wind damage and storm surge. They don’t realize that flood damage isn’t covered by their homeowners policy. They’ve never had to think about what a DP3 is or why builders risk matters. We explain all of it clearly, patiently, without pressure. Our goal isn’t just to sell you a policy. It’s to make sure you leave every conversation knowing more than when you started. When you have a claim, we don’t hand you off to a 1-800 number. We walk through the entire process with you, step by step, until it’s resolved.
What We Cover
We offer a full range of personal and commercial coverage for Marco Island and the greater Southwest Florida area. On the personal side, we cover homeowners, condo, flood, renters, landlord and DP3 policies, builders risk, and auto including personal auto, motorcycle, recreational vehicles, boats, and classic and collector cars. For businesses, we provide commercial general liability and commercial auto. We work with a carefully selected group of Florida-licensed carriers including Tower Hill, Olympus, Florida Peninsula, Wright Flood, Neptune, Progressive, and others to find the right match for your specific property, risk profile, and budget.
